Te Huanui is a 21-week Ataarangi ONLINE programme for two hours a week (1 induction session + 20 classes)

Levels 1 (beginners) to 3 (conversational), with advanced reo levels under development

One Ataarangi kaiako for every 10 or so people in a breakout room

Classes during the day (12-2pm) and at night (7 -9pm) NZ time

Online classes so you can join from anywhere in the world

Te Ahunui is an Ataarangi ONLINE programme designed for kaiako and others working in education.
Te Ahunui is a 23-week programme made up of:
21 weeks of Te Huanui – an immersive online reo Māori course that builds your confidence and fluency.
Two weeks of Language Planning – online, 2-hour group wānanga that guide you to create a practical Language Plan for your teaching and work environment.
You’ll also have the option to attend in-person wānanga throughout the year to deepen your reo journey and connect kanohi ki te kanohi.
This programme is designed to help you grow your reo, apply it meaningfully in your mahi, and join a wider movement to normalise te reo Māori in education and everyday life.

For Ataarangi Tutors
Ara Whakangungu is for people wanting to become an Ataarangi tutor. You can join if you have learnt the reo with Ataarangi.
You will be trained by our mātanga of Ataarangi including Dr. Ruakere Hond
Kāhui Reo
Kāhui Reo is a deep dive into language planning with frameworks developed by Dr. Ruakere Hond to normalise reo Māori speaking spaces.
There is choice of 10 or 20 week Programme.
